We take great joy in announcing that we (Richbarry Press) will be carrying and making available to you our readers a new book on Christ in the Psalms written by a fellow named Richard P. Belcher, Jr. It is not the Richard P. Belcher of the theological novel series, but his son.

Dr. Richard Belcher is Professor of Old Testament. He was a pastor for 10 years in Rochester, NY. His pastoral experience in an unusual & challenging setting gives him great insight into the practical, modern issues that will be faced by future pastors studying at RTS. After graduating from Covenant College, he became involved in an inner city congregation, while attending Covenant Seminary earning an M.Div. He received an S.T.M. from Concordia Theological Seminary & a Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary, where he served as a lecturer in Hebrew for several years. He has also taught in urban institutes in Rochester, NY, & Philadelphia, PA.

The back cover of the book states that this book will help pastors, seminary students, lay leaders and Christians to understand how the psalms relate to Christ, so they will be better equipped to preach and teach the Psalms. Geoffrey Grogan says that "Richard Belcher explores this theme against the background of his wide knowledge of modern psalm scholarship while successfully avoiding too much use of technical language."
